English early Georgian carved oak long case
grandfather clock by James Webster, Salop. Arch top
brass dial with angels blowing trumpets. Intricately
carved oak case has a broken arch top and bracket feet.

Moses and Aaron, and immediately below that is a
carving of a woman in a cloister with her hand on her
heart (Mary?). The bottom section of the clock is
outlined by mother of pearl inlays, with a basket weave
pattern carved in the center, and is surrounded by
carvings of fish in each corner (the Christian symbol).
